of his San Martin home on Center Avenue. With two young boys ages 4
and 2, Klopp said he wanted a place to reflect and a place where
his children could learn that freedom is not free.

Really, it’s about the service men and women and the people who
make the sacrifices that provide us with freedom,

Second, as a parent, it’s our duty that our children understand
when they are sleeping peacefully under that blanket of freedom,
there are soldiers out there providing them that freedom.
”
The flag in the middle is 30 feet tall, the other two are 25
feet tall. The black, granite slab weighs about 2,000 pounds and
was etched by Dick Kramer, a renowned military artist.
