Currie takes top monthly honor for Gavilan Niners
GILROY – The Gavilan Niners held their April Ace Day on April 29 at the Gavilan Golf Course.
Ace for April was Doris Currie, Morgan Hill, net 29.
First in the first flight was Opal Imprescia, Gilroy, net 29. Second was Marlene Sherwin, Morgan Hill, net 31. Third was Teri Swan, Morgan Hill, net 32.
First in the second flight was Doris Currie, Morgan Hill, net 29. Second was Phyllis Dollar, Morgan Hill, net 31. Third was Arlene Cardoza, Watsonville, net 37. Low putts was Peggy Woolf, Morgan Hill with 13.
Winners from the ham shoot held on April 8 were Carol Narvaez, Morgan Hill, in the first flight and Bobbi Bentley, Morgan Hill, in the second flight.
Short course was held on April 9 at Mariners Point. Joy Chalmers, Morgan Hill was the overall low net winner. Irene Rodriguez, San Jose, was first in her flight, Lorraine Kirmil, Morgan Hill, was second in her flight, Elaine Rickard, Gilroy, and Marlene Sherwin, Morgan Hill, were third in their flights.
The Gavilan Niners play each Thursday morning at the Gavilan Golf Course in Gilroy. Tee time is 9 a.m.
