Manuel Gonzales drove in four Ellite runs with a home run and sacrifice fly. Keith Francis and Mike Patterson combined singles into one HJ-FX run.
The Slammers joined Ellite in first place in the eight-team league by stopping the Bomb Squad 18-8 at Las Animas Park.
Kenny Hopf went 4-for-4 worth six RBI for the winners, including a three-run home run. Joe Duran went 4-for-4 and scored four Slammer runs. Paul Garcia hit a two-run homer in a seven-run Slammer first inning. Ryan Bell and Roy Ramos each secured three hits for the 2-1 Bomb Squad.
Randy Evanger’s two-run home run in the top of the eighth inning lifted Community Bank past Fritter and Schulz Physical Therapy-Pizza N Stuff 19-18.
Josh Newton drove in five Community Bank runs with a homer and two singles. Marco Delgado paced the losers with a single and two doubles.
Happy Dog Pizza used five runs batted in from Darren Wall to defeat Dan Keith Septics 22-7. Chris Vigilante scored three Happy Dog runs. Dan Keith and Danny Delong each went 3-for-3 for Dan Keith Septics.
Team Talamo (3-0) maintained a one-game lead in the Men’s B League Friday with a forfeit win over Obata Farms. Craig Avila Bail Bonds moved to 2-1 with a 23-1 win over the Mechanics. Steve Pacheco went 4-for-4 with a home run for Craig Avila Bail Bonds. Brock Prather singled and scored the Mechanics run.
The Good Fellas are 3-0 in first place in the Men’s BB League by topping State Farm Insurance 7-5 Friday at Christmas Hill Park.
Joey Barnes and Rich Perez hit consecutive RBI-doubles in a three-run third for the winners. Brent Boyd went 3-for-4 for State Farm Insurance.
Joe Ojeda and Rob Flores each mustered three hits to lead Dee’z Nutz to a 15-7 triumph over In The Zone. Julian Covarrubias singled and doubled for In The Zone.
D. A. Wolfe Construction defeated Dynamite 12-2. Benji Dequin roped a three-run home run and Benny Sanchez went 3-for-3 for the Builders. Rob Adina belted a triple, double and sacrifice fly for the Maui Tacos Dynamite.
