• Here comes Santa
GILROY – Artist educators are exhibiting their work now through Jan. 16 at the Gavilan College Main Gallery, in the library, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd.
Explore the work the college’s artistic instructors do when they are not teaching. Works include paintings, sculptures, digital media and photography. The exhibit is open Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Details: 848-4724.
GILROY – Join Ranger Crockett on Saturday from 8:30 to 11 a.m. for a shoreline stroll along Coyote Lake at Coyote Lake Park, 10840 Coyote Reservoir Road.
See ducks, waders, songbirds and raptors. Hear enchanting bird stories, learn fascinating bird facts, sing a bird song and play a fun bird game.
Program is free; $4 vehicle entry fee is collected. Details or RSVP at 842-7800.
Santa has announced his upcoming appearances in Gilroy. Santa will be at St. Mary’s School on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Ochoa Winter Center on Monday at 6 p.m., and Live Oak Adult Day Care on Tuesday, 1:30 p.m.
Santa and Mrs. Claus would be happy to see those smiling faces, so be sure to come and see them.
