“Hey Red Phone, what about the unattached trailers parked on city streets? I thought trailers had to be hooked up to a vehicle. There is a trailer parked on Ninth Street between Chestnut and Alexander streets for at least one month. Police don't seem to care about enforcing parking violations. I've seen patrol cars drive right past cars parked the wrong way and unattached trailers. Thanks for your help Red Phone!”
“Red Phone, what can I do about our neighbor in Morgan HIll who has been leaving his trash cans out all week? We asked him to stop, but the landlord say it’s our issue, not his. What’s the city code say?”
“Dear Red Phone, You know what really chaps my hide? My neighbors launching fireworks at all hours of the night this Fourth of July (and often the next day, too!) Can you remind people the rules about lighting fireworks at your home and how to dispose of them? I sincerely appreciate it.”
“Dear Red Phone, I went to the Gilroy Memorial Day Parade and after going I think Gilroy should take lessons from the City of Morgan Hill on throwing a parade. Obviously Gilroy needs some lessons on Parade 101. Shame on Gilroy, yay for Morgan Hill.”
“Red Phone, I heard there was a recent national Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, but I was unable to make it and didn’t keep the list of where to take old medicine. Can you tell us if there are any places in South County? Thanks.”
“Dear Red Phone, I’d like to know why Gilroy police don’t do a better job patrolling and monitoring the Gilroy skate park, whereas Morgan Hill does a better job. My son can’t go to the Gilroy skate park without any interruptions between bikers and vandalism. What’s up with this?”
“Dear Red Phone, I play tennis for recreation – and I so appreciate the city's free facilities – but I've noticed some nets are hanging low. How often does the city check on these and who should I call if I see a low net? Thanks a lot.”
“Red Phone, we live in the county and we’re having a bigger problem than normal with ground squirrels. They are undermining our barn and there just seems to be more than ever. Also, we’re concerned because they carry diseases. We tried shooting them, we tried trapping them, but they are just everywhere and we’re running out of ideas. Surely, we can’t be the only ones. Help!”
