The Gilroy Unified School District Board of Trustees will convene Thursday evening to decide where to place the boundary that will divide the town into two high school zones.
After months of meetings, the boundary committee presented their recommendation to the board in May. Leavesley Road and Mantelli Drive divided the northern half of town, destined to go to the new Christopher High School, from the southern half, to attend Gilroy High School.
Considering comments and concerns from the community, the school board requested that the committee reconvene and come up with several other options for consideration. The committee will present the board with three alternatives to the original plan Thursday evening and the board will decide on one.
