Esco Hernandez hit for the cycle and Joel Gaeta highlighted a four-RBI night with a home run for Craig Avila Bail Bonds. Ruben Ramirez, Steve Pacheco belted four hits apiece and Rich Rodriquez drove in four markers for the winners. Art Del Valle went 4-for-4 Team Talamo.
Obata Farms held off the Mechanics 10-9 to leave both teams at 1-3.
Jason Livingston clubbed a home run, double and single for Obata Farms. The Mechanics rallied for seven runs in the final two innings, led by singles in both frames by Jim Gruber and Matt Hernandez. Hernandez and Brock Prather each went 3-for-4 for the Mechanics.
The Slammers earned a one-game lead in the Men’s D League pennant scramble Friday with a 17-2 win over Dan Keith Septics.
Ralph Ortez stroked two home runs and two singles, Paul Garcia and Kenny Hopf provided home runs and Mike Reggiardo followed with three extra-base blows. Dan Keith and Danny Delong each mustered two hits for Dan Keith Septics.
Ellite Barbers and Hair Stylists slipped to 3-1 with an 18-14 loss to Community Bank. Community, also 3-1, trailed 8-1 after three before Duke Newton and Dave Newton each delivered three Bank hits. Randy Newton and Dave Newton each homered for the winners. Jose Romero went 4-for-5 for Ellite Barbers.
Team HJ-FX fashioned a three-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning to take an 8-7 decision over Happy Dog Pizza at Las Animas Park.
Marc Rodriguez singled and doubled to pace the Team HJ-FX offense. Rodriguez, Mike Kachel and Tom Alexander hit consecutive hits to conclude the rally. Darren Wall homered and Rusty Trevino scored three runs for Happy Dog Pizza.
Dave Keim Jr. went 4-for-4 with a homer, Dave Plaza added four singles and Marco Delgado homered to propel Fritter-Schulz Physical Therapy-Pizza N’ Stuff past the Bomb Squad 21-14. George Espinosa and Addison Quach each stroked three hits for the Bomb Squad.
Gabe Duenas and Stevie Martinez each cracked five hits to lead 4-0 Good Fellas over Ascent Electrical 29-1 Friday in Men’s BB play. Andre Pulizzi and Mike Ahmed each managed two Ascent hits.
State Farm Insurance moved to 2-1 with a 15-0 triumph over Dee’z Nutz. Mitch MacVicar and Jade Garcia each went 3-for-3 and Rodney Clore went 3-for-4 and scored four State Farm Insurance runs. Donnie Gooding went 2-for-2 for 2-2 Dee’z.
D.A. Wolfe Construction (3-0) claimed a forfeit win over 0-4 In The Zone.
