Senior guard Ron Colmon tallied a team-high 11 points, including 5-of-5 from the charity stripe, while teammate Adam Moon added seven and senior guard Brandt Chacon netted five.

After two points in the first quarter and four in the second quarter, the Mustangs caught fire with a 20-point third quarter. Woodside matched Gilroy’s total and outscored them 18-13 in the fourth quarter.

Also getting in the scoring column for Gilroy were senior Kyle Loving (four points); Calvin Kretz (four points); junior Kyle Warren (three points); Mark Kennedy (three points); and junior Vince Mitre (two points).

The Mustangs were 12-of-12 from the free-throw line.

Up next, Gilroy will play at Valley Christian on Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. before hosting the Bob Hagen Classic on Dec. 18-20 at the high school.
