(17-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-18, 11-15) over Gilroy to claim the league
championship Thursday night in Monterey.
MONTEREY – In a clash of the two best teams in the Tri-County Athletic League, it was Monterey squeaking out a 3-2 victory (17-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-18, 11-15) over Gilroy to claim the league championship Thursday night in Monterey.

Both teams came into the contest at 14-1 in league. It was a winner-take-all match and the Toreadors answered the call.

Despite the loss, the Mustangs will for sure make it to the CCS playoffs and will find out where they will land in the seedings Saturday night.
