Music Academy relocates
Gilroy – Monterey Street Music Academy recently relocated to new quarters at Fourth and Church streets in Trimble Hall of the Gilroy United Methodist Church.
Celebrating its first ten years this fall, the Music Academy, directed by pianist, Candace Fazzio, has grown from one teacher to four, recently adding vocal instructor, Sandra Marlowe to the faculty. John Garcia has taught guitar at the Academy for over nine years. Pianist, Andoni Bundros has returned from a year’s study at the Berkelee College of Music in Boston, MA, to accept piano students, even as he continues his studies toward a collegiate music degree.
The youngest students at the Music Academy are age four, studying in a specialized, group program taught by Fazzio. Both Bundros and Fazzio offer private piano lessons. Students of guitar or voice are accepted from about age 8. Private vocal instruction is available and voice classes are planned for the near future. Guitar instruction is private. The Music Academy is accepting new students. Instruction takes place weekday afternoons between 3 and 6pm, and by appointment.

Toys for Tots Drive
Gilroy – Tim Fortino, the local Edward Jones representative, is supporting the St. Joseph’s Family Center Toys for Tots program by using his office as a drop-off location for this year’s toy drive.
Local residents may help needy children in the area by bringing in a new, unwrapped toy to the office, 8060 Santa Teresa Blvd., Suite 140, during regular business hours.
“With the holiday season around the corner, we are all getting ready for the festivities,” Fortino said. “And as this is the season of giving, now is a great time to remember the less fortunate in our community.”
