Randy Guerrero’s professional boxing debut on the undercard of the Andre Ward-Chad Dawson WBC/WBA Super Middleweight title clash is right around the corner. And the younger brother of Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero now knows who he will square off with Sept. 8 at Oracle Arena in Oakland.
Guerrero will face Juan Urbina out of Santa Ana, another boxer making his debut, in a four-round Featherweight bout. The fight is slated as the second of seven attractions on the card. Doors open at 4 p.m. with the first fight scheduled for 5 p.m.
• The 2012 Youth Soccer Fall Program will conclude player registration on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Gilroy Recreation Department, 7351 Rosanna Street. The eight-game season begins on Sept. 22 at Gilroy Sports Park. All games are played on Saturdays. Boys and girls from age 5 to 13 are eligible to participate. Players are guaranteed to play at least one-half of each game. Volunteer coaches will be assigned to every team. Players will receive a team jersey. Further information is available at 846-0460.
