High-performance vehicles set to turn heads at 14th annual
California Autumn Classic
British sports cars of the 1940s aimed to make a statement of exclusivity, individuality, sport and style. From Jaguars to Austin-Healeys to Aston-Martins, these high-performance machines turned heads then and continue to do so today.
Sixteen Bay Area British sports car clubs will participate in the 14th annual California Autumn Classic happening Oct. 21-22 in San Juan Bautista. Although the event is only open to registered participants showing their cars Oct. 21, the public is invited to attend a drive-up awards presentation and viewing from 10am-3pm Oct. 22. A total of 20 silver trophies will be awarded, along with one grand trophy. There is no charge to attend the awards presentation.
All of the cars being shown are classic British-made sports cars dating from the 1940s to the 1970s. All event profits are donated to an international children’s charity.
