Elkhorn Slough Tours

Join the Gilroy Writing Project every third Saturday of each month from 2 to 4pm at the Gilroy Library. Experience writers share tips on the writing life.

Help Out Abused Kids
The Child Abuse Prevention Center is offering the opportunity to join its Volunteer Case Aide Program. Volunteers provide mentoring, tutoring, transportation and supervision visits for kids in foster care. Bilingual volunteers are strongly encouraged to share their talents.
A training class will be held from 9am to 3pm in San Jose.

Hike With Spirit
Hiking begins again on Feb. 20 with the Gilroy Presbyterian Church’s Hiking Group. Group leaves around 12:15pm from the parking lot of the Gilroy Presbyterian Church, 6000 Miller Ave.
Hikes are generally easy on flat terrain. Bring a hat and good walking shoes.

Henry W. Coe State Park is holding the “T-Shirt Of The Year Contest”. Winners get their art on the t-shirt of the year and a free shirt for them and each member of their immediate family.
Proceeds go to support the programs of The Pine Ridge Association.
