Gilroy – Agents working for Century 21 Premier in Morgan Hill, Gilroy and Los Banos stepped up to help feed families in need during this Thanksgiving Holiday.

“After learning that City Team Ministries was short 4000 turkeys, we set a goal of providing 100 turkeys for City Team” stated Batzi Kuburovich, Broker for Premier. On Monday, Nov. 22, 400 turkeys were delivered to City Team Ministries courtesy of Premier agents working together with Foster Farms.

“I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of generosity from our small company,” Kuburovich continued, “I can only hope that it is contagious and other local companies participate to help those in need.”

Fortino to host year-end tax course

Gilroy – Tim Fortino, the local Edward Jones investment representative, will host a course titled, “Year-End Tax and Legal Update” on Dec. 9 at 10am at 8060 Santa Teresa Blvd. Ste. 140.

“This program is designed to present the latest hot topics – new legislation, cases and ruling of relevance – to the general practitioner in preparing 2004 tax returns and advising clients during this tax season,” said Fortino.

Course topics will include 2004 legislative changes impacting small businesses and their owners; new IRS rulings impacting small business owners and individual taxpayers; court decisions impacting clients for the 2004 tax filing season; and tax and financial planning opportunities available for 2005 for attorneys engaged in tax practice. The course is approved for five CPE hours for CPAs and accountants. CLE credit for attorneys is pending approval in all states with general education requirements.

The course is $50 and will include admission for one person and all course materials. Reservations are required. For further information, contact Fortino at 846-7748.

Limited supply of tax guide’s available

Gilroy – Tim Fortino, an Edward Jones investment representative in Gilroy, will soon have a limited supply of the 2005 edition of CCH Inc.’s “U.S. Master Tax Guide” and the “U.S. Master Estate and Gift Tax Guide” to offer local tax professionals.

Although the guide will not be available until mid- to late- December, tax professionals should reserve complimentary copies of these guides no by contacting Fortino’s office at 846-7748.

Due to limited supply, Fortino can provide these guides to attorneys, CPAs and other tax professionals only.

De Rham joins Rhodes Associates

Rhodes Associates, a New York-based top-20 global retained executive search firm, today announced that financial services industry veteran Amy de Rham has joined as Global Head of Asset Management and West Coast Head of Financial Services. De Rham will also oversee the firm’s San Francisco office.

Prior to establishing her career in executive search, De Rham served in a number of senior level positions in the financial services sector, including managing director and senior research analyst at Banc of America Securities, LLC, formerly Montgomery Securities in San Francisco.
