Kathleen Shaffer, Realtor with Realty World South Valley, has completed a highly specialized course in Real Estate Financing, Tax and Investments. The class was conducted in San Mateo and is one of the required courses that must be taken by real estate agents and brokers in order to qualify for the coveted Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation. This designation is held by less than 4 percent of realtors nationwide.
The course included techniques in identifying tax saving opportunities, financing alternatives, debt and mortgage management strategies. “Every real estate transaction has tax and financial considerations,” Shaffer said. “This course provided me with innovative ways to enable me to serve both buyers and sellers more effectively.”
