Gavilan College library extends hours
Gilroy – The Gavilan College library is now offering longer hours for students and the general public. The facility, located at the main campus, is open Monday through Thursday, 8am to 8pm, and Friday, 8am to 3pm. In addition, a research librarian will be present during evening hours to help library patrons.
In 2003, the library hours were reduced because a downturn in the economy prompted a budget cut for community colleges. Since that time, Gavilan has seen increased funding from the state and increased enrollment, which has also provided more money to help keep the library open.
