Tickets still available for May 13 event at Don Christopher

Supporters of Gilroy High athletics have 10 more days to purchase tickets to the 26th Annual GHS Athletic Association Crab Cioppino Feed and Dance.
The event will take place Saturday May 13 at Don Christopher Ranch, 305 Bloomfield Road. An all-you-can eat crab cioppino dinner, served by GHS coaches and volunteers, will be followed by entertainment from the local band Shaboom.
“We have several hundred tickets left,” said Gilroy athletic director Jack Daley. “Hopefully, we’ll sell out…We come close every year, within about 100 tickets every year.”
About 1,100 people attended last year’s Cioppino Feed, which raises money for the transportation needs of all Gilroy High sports. Daley said with the rising cost of gas, the mission of this year’s event has become even more important.
The Christopher family, which provides GHS with the use of the facilities at Christopher Ranch, is also donating the crab for this year’s dinner to help the cause.
Tickets ($50 each, must be 21 and over) are on sale at the GHS activities office Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm or they can be purchased online at www.gilroyhighschool.com/ciopinnofeed.htm. T-shirts and aprons may also be purchased for $12 apiece.
