The postal patrons in your article should concetrate on how to keep clear mailboxes, instead of trying to get the carrier to dismount all the time.
USPS has been working for years to control costs, it seems patrons don’t want postage rate increases, but they are unwilling to do what it takes to control costs.
Mr. Chatham is incorrect in saying it is illegal to withhold his mail when his box is blocked. If carriers continue to dismount at blocked boxes, they would be blocked even more often. Instead of looking at the carrier as inconsiderate or lazy, look to each other and solve the blocked boxes.
