Coach Ben Parks, longtime football and wresting coach at Menlo-Atherton High School, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday night, August 19, 2011.
To thousands of students, athletes, and friends he was known simply as “Coach Parks”.
Coach Parks grew up in Hollister, CA and is survived by his loving family, sons: Ralph Parks and Ben Parks, Jr., and daughters: Tina (Glenn) Simpson, Ronda Parks, and Geri-Ann (Lauro) Aguilar. He was the devoted grandfather of Nathan and Jordan Aguilar.
Coach Parks was known for his belief that ‘Life isn’t a choice, but living is, so why not choose to live life the right way? Why not choose to help people?’
