THIS WEEK’S WEB POLL:

Should cheerleaders be able to wear their uniforms to school on game day, or are their skirts too immodest for class?

too immodest: 5 OK for class: 6

â–  Yes! They should be able to wear their uniforms on game days just like the football players and other athletes get to wear their jerseys.

â–  They’re too immodest. The cheer squad has a number of different uniforms, and for school they should just wear the shells with their track pants or other pants. It’s not comfortable sitting in a desk with such short skirts on.

â–  Can of worms here … if they can’t wear the uniforms to school, then they shouldn’t wear them to the games! I say let them wear them – I don’t mess with cheerleaders or their MOMS.

â–  There should have been three choices: OK for class; Not OK for class; Too immodest for class. Modesty is a subjective quality that school boards have the right to determine for the community. I say “not OK for class” as long as volleyball players can’t wear their “bun-huggers,” wrestlers can’t wear their singlets, and swimmers can’t wear their skin tight bathing suits.

â–  This is not an issue worthy of community discourse. Perhaps GHS should be more concerned a out raising test scores than lowering hem lines! n It is a hassle and waste of time to have to change for every game.
