Community Pulse: Trust the City Council?

Do you trust the current members of the City Council to do
what’s best for Gilroy?
THIS WEEK’S WEB POLL:

Do you trust the current members of the City Council to do what’s best for Gilroy?

Yes: 2 No: 10

â–  I trust them to do what they “think is best for Gilroy.” I think it is time to consider dividing Gilroy into districts and having candidates for each district.

â–  Yes and no. I do have faith in a few of them but as a collective body, no. Many of our council members are more concerned about their personal agendas and politics than the community of Gilroy.

â–  No, it’s difficult to trust a ruling body that doesn’t trust itself or each other!

â–  No! This Council has only demonstrated its inability to work cooperatively for the public good. At times, their infighting has deteriorated to childish levels. Many Council members are motivated by self-serving issues and frequently act out of spite for other Council members without consideration of how their actions affect the people

they are entrusted to serve. I find their actions reprehensible … a truly dysfunctional lot!

â–  No. I don’t think most of them work for what is best for Gilroy. I think some put their own agendas before what is good for Gilroy. Some are also out of touch.

â–  No! They are not open to new visions. We all want that small town back, but it will never be that again. Now we have to make what we lost better.
