City Council picked their team of 25 General Plan committee members during their regular meeting Aug. 5.Â
Over the next two years, these individuals will take on the challenge of revamping Gilroy’s essential blueprints and visions for the city – Â a process that happens every 10 years as required by state law.Â
The General Plan outlines direction on important projects and issues such as downtown’s 18 vacant unreinforced masonry buildings (deemed structurally unfit to survive high magnitude earthquake); future transportation needs; fiscal and economic development; residential development and climate action planning.
