Dan was born in San Jose, Ca to the late Daniel S. Cuevas, Sr. and the late Evangelina Ochoa-Cuevas. He is survived by wife Eileen T. Cuevas, children Patrick and Alicia Cuevas, daughter in-law Maria and granddaughter Eva.
Dan worked most of his life in the canning and packing industry in Gilroy and San Jose as a mechanic. He was a small business owner, running the Drift Inn near Coyote Lake.
He died like he lived, on his own terms.
A memorial mass will be said 1:00 P.M. Thursday, July 10 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Gilroy. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association 1-8OO-DIABETES
