Los Gigantes Monday at Las Animas Park. See who else scored big
wins to close out the second half of the season.
GILROY – Brenda Horder Farmer’s Insurance-Dee’z Nutz clinched the second-half Men’s BB Softball League title with a 10-5 victory over Los Gigantes Monday at Las Animas Park.

Farmer’s-Dee’z (6-0) will face first-half champion Frank Vargas Taxes in the best 2-of-3 Championship Series the week of July 13-17.

Farmer’s-Dee’z fashioned a two-out rally to produce five runs in the top of the first inning, keyed by consecutive RBI-singles from Henry Huerta, Anthony Elizondo and Josh pardon.

Huerta added a two-run single in the fourth as Farmer’s-Dee’z took a 9-1 lead. Memo Lopez and Huerta each finished with three hits for the winners. Chendo Acevedo homered and Johnny Andrade went 3-for-4 for Los Gigantes (2-3).

Dirty Dozen rallied past Self Made 4-3 in Men’s C play Monday to leave both teams at 4-2 atop the four-team standings. Dirty Dozen will play Self Made at 8:50 p.m. on Monday July 6 at Las Animas for the first-half title.

Self Made grabbed a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, added by a two-run single from Willie Gamboa and Ruben Chavez sacrifice fly. Benny Naranjo and Art Garcia hit consecutive two-out RBI-singles in the Dozen second frame. Kevin Orosco and Omar Benitez each singled and scored in the bottom of the seventh for the Dirty Dozen.

Chris Salter tripled and doubled, scoring twice, to help DS Builders past DeHaro Mechanicals 9-4. Alex Rodriguez homered and Daniel Vasquez netted two singles for DeHaro Mechanicals.

No Soup 4 You finished the Men’s DD second half with a 5-1 mark after a 21-12 victory over the Loco Boys Tuesday at Christmas Hill.

Fausto Padilla capped a 4-for-4 night with a two-run triple in a six-run seventh for the Soup. Joaquin Chacon homered and John Gonzalez went 4-for-5. Nathan Mandrell and Bubba Lara each collected three Loco Boys hits.

Vance Lee went 4-for-5 with a home run to lift the Titans past Claddagh Brew Crew 15-3. Kevin Belanger scored two Brew Crew runs.

Manny Rivera drilled three hits and scored four runs as Silicon Valley Concrete topped Walton & Sons Masonry 10-7. Eric Wischmann and Geoff Graves each scored two Walton runs.

Garza Sisters & Friends upset All 4 Seasons Pet Services 16-8 Wednesday in Women’s League play, earning the second-place award to Ms. BeHaving.

Della Martinez and Kia Bravo each produced two hits and scored three Sisters runs. Mia DeLorenzo doubled and singled for All 4 Seasons Pet Services.

Corey’s Girls capped a 6-0 second half with a 15-10 win over Goldsmith Seeds. Bre Vasquez homered, Vanessa Pena scored three runs and Andrea Castaneda hit a bases-clearing double for the winners. Alicia Martinez went 4-for-4 for Goldsmith.

Pacific Coast Bail Bonds (6-0) earned the second-half Men’s CC crown with a 9-2 nod over So Juicy-Vets. Juan Contreras hit a three-run homer for the Bondsmen. Mike Gonzalez went 2-for-2 with an RBI for So Juicy-Vets (4-2).

Mike Maggiora went 4-for-4 as the Hit Men prepped for the D playoffs with a 12-4 victory over Team Wicked. Nick Aderete hit a two-run triple for Team Wicked.

Matt Elam capped a four-RBI night with a two-run homer to lead Blackout Window Tinting past Cali Auto 17-2. Greg Lugo tripled and singled for Cali Auto.

Chon Catano hit a homer, double and single as Players topped Dutchman’s Pizza 16-1.
