Dear Editor,
As one of said readers who contributed to the Dispatch’s meaningless Internet poll, I beg to disagree with Reid Lerner (July 27) that developers “already pay significant school impact fees.”
If we are to continue building the “nuisance” (new homes), and we are mandated the albatross known as public education, then those who are building this should pay for the new schools – and new roads. Thanks to the current situation, we have two school “bonds” added to our already outrageous property tax (an outdated system that favors the establishment) to pay for new schools, which were only necessary thanks to the “nuisance.”
