Earth Day festival
Gilroy – An Earth Day festival featuring tree planting, food and a number of activities for families will take place Saturday, April 29 from 10am to 2pm at Christmas Hill Park. The event, sponsored by the City of Gilroy and Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society, will include birdhouse building demonstrations and live animals.

Flower sale benefits Chaos
Gilroy – A fundraiser will be held from 8am to 1pm Saturday, April 22, at Goldsmith Seeds, 2280 Hecker Pass Road. All proceeds will be going towards much needed improvements on the Gilroy Chaos softball field and for the 2006 season.

Sample green eggs and ham
Gilroy – Green eggs and ham cooking demonstration and food sampling from 9am to noon Saturday at Nob Hill Foods, 777 First St. to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ classic book “Green Eggs and Ham” and enjoy a colorful breakfast especially for children.
