for sale at the annual end-of-the-year show. This event has been so
popular in the past that it will be extended to three days.

Gilroy – Ceramics students and faculty will be displaying their work for sale at the annual end-of-the-year show. This event has been so popular in the past that it will be extended to three days. As usual, there will be a vast array of pots and ceramic pieces made by both students and faculty.
The show runs Dec. 8 from 10am to 1:30pm in the Student Center, main campus; Dec. 9 from 6:30pm to 9pm in the ceramics room, Art 101, main campus; and Dec. 10, from 10am to 12pm, Art 101.
The proceeds from this sale go directly to the Gavilan Art Guild, the student organization of the ceramics department. The funds are used for departmental purchases of equipment and to support the purchase of clay and glaze materials. The organization also sponsors department field trips, and guest artists.

Traditional Posada Friday at GHS
Gilroy – The Latinos and Latinas Program is hosting their 3rd annual Posada at GHS.
A posada is a Mexican tradition of signing Christmas songs and reenacting the pilgrimage of Joseph and Mary. After the ceremony, posole (mexican dish) & other warm snacks will be served.
The Posada begins at 6:30pm, Friday near the GHS clock tower. The event should end by 8pm or so and there will be a pinata for the younger kids. All are welcome.
GHS bands debut debut Thursday
Gilroy – The Gilroy High School Bands will debuting their 2004-2005 concert Thursday in the GHS Theater.
Directed by Joey Fortino, the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will be performing music by Gustav Holst, Clifton Williams, Modest Moussorgsky, American composer David Holsinger, and many more. The concert is free and will begin at 7pm.
