Sunday pet fair is just for the dogs

Gilroy – The Friends of San Martin Animal Shelter (FOSMAS) is hosting a special Pet Fair just for dogs, Sunday, from 11am to 4pm at the PetsMart, Highway 152, in Gilroy.

There are many dogs who need homes and adoptions will be available on sight. If you don’t find a special friend there, you can always stop by the San Martin Animal Shelter, 12370 Murphy Ave., to look at the animals for adoption, play with the homeless dogs and cats and adopt a special friend.

Donations for the shelter are always appreciated. There is a constant need for kitten, cat, puppy and dog food, animal toys, and newspapers. Money donations are welcomed and the funds donated help offset the costs of much needed medical supplies and extra food for the homeless animals. Donations are tax deductible and can be mailed to: FOSMAS, P.O. Box 526, San Martin, CA 95046. A receipt will be mailed to you for your fine donation.

The shelter is open Mondays, and Wednesdays through Sundays, from noon to 5pm. Details: 686-3900.
