Builders’ scholarships awarded
SANTA CLARA – The Builders’ Exchange of Santa Clara County is
pleased to announce the winners of the 2004 June Simmons Memorial
Scholarship Competition. Each winner received an award of $5,000 to
further their college education.

SANTA CLARA – The Builders’ Exchange of Santa Clara County is pleased to announce the winners of the 2004 June Simmons Memorial Scholarship Competition. Each winner received an award of $5,000 to further their college education.
The following students received the award:
Allegra Eslick, of Gilroy, currently attending Arizona State University.
Amanda Wilson, of Prunedale, currently attending UC San Diego.
Fernando Soriano, of San Jose, currently attending Mission College.
Amber Yglesias, of Santa Maria, currently attending UCLA.
Eric Battiato, of San Jose, currently attending Cal Poly SLO.
The winners will be honored at a reception on June 11, at the Builders’ Exchange, 400 Reed St. in Santa Clara, at 3 p.m.

Hospice volunteers needed
GILROY/MORGAN HILL – The Kaiser Permanente Hospice Program at Santa Teresa Hospital, 50 East Main Ave., Morgan Hill, is in need of volunteers for the Gilroy and Morgan Hill area. Hospice volunteers are needed for home visits to hospice patients and families and/or make bereavement phone calls on a monthly basis.
Training is provided.
