Try out for the games

GILROY – The Gilroy Little League will be holding try-outs on Saturdays, Jan. 10, 17 and 24 at Las Animas Park, 400 Mantelli Drive. Times are the same for all three days: 9 a.m. for   Minors (9 and 10 year olds), 10 a.m. for AA (8 year olds), 11 a.m. for A (7 year olds and 6 year olds challenging up).

Master your acting

GILROY – Gilroy Community Services Department in collaboration with Odyssey Theatre Company will be offering “Acting Master Class for Teens,” on Saturday afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m., Jan. 10 through 31, at the Gilroy High School Theater.

The class will focus on acting, movement and physical characterization, auditioning skills and scene work.

The registration fee is $100. Students should register by 5 p.m. today at the Gilroy Community Services Department, 7351 Rosanna St. Details: 846-0460.

GILROY – Vision Literacy, 42 Martin St., is looking for volunteers. They will be holding orientations on Wednesdays, Jan. 14 and 21 at 5:30 p.m. Find out how you can help adults improve their literacy skills and change their lives forever.
