Indian hosts fund raiser
GILROY
– Indian Motorcycle Gilroy, 7191 Monterey Road, Gilroy will host
the Frank Tomasetti Memorial Ride on Saturday, Nov. 16. The ride
starts at the dealership at 10 a.m. Live Music by the Backyard
Blues Band and a tri-tip
barbecue will begin at 1 p.m. A live NFL and Indian Motorcycle
memorabilia auction will begin at 1:30 p.m. 49er and Raider
autographed jerseys and footballs are just some of the items
available. Tickets to win a Chief motorcycle can be purchased for
$50 in advance or the day of the event at Indian Motorcycle Gilroy.
You need not be present to win. All proceeds will go to the family

‘Sleepy Hollow’
GILROY – South Valley Civic Theatre presents its teen show “Sleepy Hollow.” Performances will be held one last weekend at the Gilroy High School Theater. Christmas arts and crafts
GILROY – The City of Gilroy Community Services presents its 34th annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Show on Friday, Nov. 15 from 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is 50 cents. Children are free when accompanied by an adult. The event will be held at the Wheeler Community Center, 250 W. Sixth St., Gilroy. Details: 846-0460.
Bowl-a-thon
GILROY – El Portal Leadership Academy students are trying to raise money for their school by hosting a bowl-a-thon. The bowl-a-thon will take place at Gilroy Bowl on Saturday, Nov. 16. The students are hopeful that local businesses will help their fund raiser by sponsoring a lane, sponsoring a student and/or donate items to be used for prizes. The cost to sponsor a lane is $40. Each lane will advertise the business that sponsors that lane and volunteers will gladly pass out any coupons or advertising material that is provided from that business. All donations are tax deductible. The money raised will be used for much needed sports equipment for the students, field trips to colleges and universities, educational theatrical performances and educational conferences. Golf tournament
GILROY – The Giving Golfers are holding a four man, nine-hole tournament at Gavilan Golf Course on Nov. 17 at noon. The entry fee is $35. Proceeds will go to Christmas presents for needy children in the community. A barbecue will follow. Details: 210-9244.
CPR certification class
GILROY – Gilroy High School Field Hockey will be holding a CPR certification class at the Gilroy High School Choir Room on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost for adults is $25, or $20 for students under 16. Details: 848-7177.
