How well do you Google?
Gilroy – Google is now a recognized verb in the English language and it’s no coincidence that T-M-I is also becoming a familiar verbal shorthand for “too much information.” That’s exactly what most people get when they try to do Internet research using the popular Google search engine – often millions of Web site links.
A free class at the Gilroy Library (Sixth and Hanna streets in Gilroy) on Extreme Googling on Tuesday, April 26, at 10:30am will describe how to understand the way Google conducts a search of the World Wide Web and how to make the most of the search engine’s capabilities. Participants will have the opportunity to try out Extreme Googling on public access library computers.
Advance registration information is available at the reference desk.
