GILROY – The Dirty Dozen opened the second half of the Men’s C Softball League with a 5-3 squeaker over DS Builders Monday at Christmas Hill Park.
The Dozen, the first-half CC champion, rolled to a 5-0 lead after four innings. Chris Green scored two runs and Benny Naranjo stroked a two-run triple. DS Builders responded with a home run from Noel DeLaTorre in the fifth, then pushed across two runs in the seventh.
Self Made powered past DeHaro Mechanicals 21-7 as Guillermo Gamboa and Willie Gamboa each went 5-for-5.
Willie Gamboa hit a two-run home run in the final frame. Ricky Gonzalez went 3-for-5 and drove in three Self Made runs. Phil Ruiz hit a three-run home run and Sean Subia drove in three DeHaro Mechanical runs with a double and single.
Frank Vargas Taxes rallied for eight runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Los Gigantes 22-21 in the Men’s B second-half opener Monday. Roger Hernandez hit a two-out grand slam to tie the game. Rich Perez ended the contest with an RBI-double.
Hernandez finished with two home runs and Rich Valencia drove in four Vargas Taxes runs. Chris Soto went 7-for-7, Matias Franco 6-for-6 and Jeremy Page 5-for-7 for Los Gigantes. Eddie Vargas completed the Los Gigantes scoring with a three-run homer.
Brenda Horder Farmer’s Insurance-Dee’z Nutz outlasted CenCal Auto Body 13-11.
Ryan Dequin’s three-run homer in the sixth erased an 11-10 CenCal lead. Joel Vaca homered and Dequin netted four hits. Isaac Seymour hit two CenCal Auto home runs.
The Loco Boys opened the second half of Men’s DD play Tuesday at Christmas Hill Park by edging the Titans 18-16.
Bubba Lara, Jimmy Castaneda and Mike Pellicione each homered in an 11-run fifth for the Loco Boys to wipe out a 14-6 deficit. Rich Hernandez stroked five Loco hits. Ted Pickeral went 5-for-5 for the Titans.
Joaquin Chacon tripled and doubled, scoring two runs and plating two as No Soup 4 You topped Walton & Sons Masonry 8-5. Jose Andrade doubled and singled for the winners. Geoff Graves went 3-for-3 for Walton & Sons.
Zeke Lopez homered in a 3-for-3 effort as Los Pistoleros defeated Claddagh Brew Crew 14-2. Joel Lopez and Adrian Ponce each went 3-for-3 and Danny Reyes homered for the winners. Greg Sosebee tripled and scored one Claddagh run.
Joe Ojeda’s home run in the bottom of the seventh inning earned the Players an 8-7 Men’s CC win over Cali Auto Wednesday at Christmas Hill.
Randy Garcia went 3-for-3 for the winners. Freddy Gomez drove in three Cali runs.
Toby Reyes powered a three-run home run and Isaac Almanza and Nick Alderete collected four hits each as Team Wicked topped Dutchman’s Pizza 16-13. Tommy Cristobal homered and Cameron Bautista lashed four hits for Dutchman’s.
Josh Torres homered and Ed Turner poked four hits as Pacific Coast Bail Bonds beat Blackout Window Tinting 19-3. Greg Wright and Terry Smith hit RBI-singles for Blackout.
Henry Quistian, Mike Maggiora and Russ Chagnon hit homers as the Hit Men defeated So Juicy-Vets 21-6. Gabe Ponce homered for the losers.
Missy Howe homered and Maya Valdez went 4-for-4 to lead Corey’s Girls by Ms. MeBeHaving 14-2 in Women’s play. Barb Lemberger scored both Ms. BeHaving runs.
Esmeralda Hernandez and Dora Olivares each scored three runs as Goldsmith Seeds outlasted Garza Sisters & Friends 12-6. Della Martinez netted three Garza hits.
