Gilroy – K’s Dogs rallied past the VFW Vets 17-16 Tuesday at Christmas Hill Park to leave all four Men’s C League teams at 1-1.

Danny Gonzalez drilled a two-run triple as K’s Dogs pushed across six runs in the fifth inning. Jess Lopez Jr. smacked two home runs and Tim Sorci went 3-for-3 with a sacrifice fly for the Dogs. Oscar Montenegro went 3-for-3, Jerry Nelson homered and Danny Melendez poked a three-run triple for the VFW Vets.

Matt McGinnis delivered a double and three singles as Pacific Coast Bail Bonds powered past Bad News 20-6.

Shawn Hernandez went 3-for-4 and scored three Bail Bonds runs. Daniel Salinas homered and Mike Garcia singled and tripled for Bad News.

Cosa Nostra is one of three slowpitch softball teams at 2-0 atop the Men’s DD League standings after a 17-2 verdict over the Assassins Tuesday at Las Animas Park.

Lupe Lemus went 3-for-3 and Jose Serrano went 2-for-2 with a sacrifice fly for Cosa Nostra. George Palacios went 2-for-2 for the Assassins.

Roger Castaneda pitched a nine-hitter as 2-0 Loco Boys trimmed Sign Creations 9-2.

Jimmy Castaneda Jr. paced the Loco attack with a double and two singles. Frankie Navarrete added two hits and scored twice for the winners. Ricky Krogen went 2-for-2 for Sign Creations.

Blackout Window Tinting is 2-0 after a 16-4 nod over God’s Gangsters.

Anthony Corral went 5-for-5 and Chris Velador and Gabe Corral each homered for Blackout Window. James Jimenez went 3-for-3 to remain at 1.000 batting for God’s Gangsters.

Fine Line Painting upset the Hitmen 22-14 to leave both clubs at 1-1.

Sean Bollin and Brian Moreno each homered for Fine Line Painting. Manuel Arce added a two-run poke.
