Donna J. Pfeiffer passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the age of 83. She and her late husband, Albert had made Hollister their home since 1971.
Donna was born to Lawrence and Rowene Feigley of Enterprise, Kansas on June 30, 1928. Growing up on the family farm in rural Dickinson County, Donna treasured her many memories of life on the Feigley Farm.
A graduate of Enterprise High School in 1946, Donna went on to Business School and it is here she began her career as a secretary. She met her late husband Albert, in Salina, KS. Their lives were ever changing as they spent the next years in different locales while Albert served in the United States Air Force.
It was not until his retirement that they moved to Hollister to manage the family Pfeiffer Ranch. Until her retirement, Donna had spent many, many years working in the insurance business in Hollister.
Donna’s most beloved moments are those she spent with her children, grandchildren, and most recently her great-granddaughter. She so enjoyed attending all the celebrations and activities surrounding her family.
An avid sports fan, Donna most enjoyed cheering on her favorite football teams and college basketball teams. After her move to Hollister, she met many members of the area’s ranching community. She found a new interest in reined cow horse competitions, and until recently, had never missed the San Benito County Saddle Horse Show and Rodeo. She was also a long-time member of the San Benito County Cattlewomen.
Donna is predeceased by her husband, Albert, parents Lawrence and Rowene Feigley, and sister Jo Ann. She is survived by her brother Robert Feigley and wife Norma of Enterprise, KS. Her sons Michael Moore and wife Cindi of Marsing, ID, Brad Moore and wife Patty of Martinez, CA, and daughter Michele Prewett and husband Jim of Gilroy, CA. Also surviving her are beloved grandchildren, Brenden Moore and wife Ashley, Alethea Prewett, and Kyle Prewett, as well as great-granddaughter Madison Moore.
