New courses offered by Gavilan College in drone technology and hospitality and tourism management are coming to the Morgan Hill area for the Fall 2017 semester.
The drone technology class, called AMT 225: Introduction to Unmanned Aircraft Systems, will be held Saturday mornings at Gavilan College’s Coyote Valley Center.
The three-unit class “introduces students to the foundations of drone technology including the history, types of UAS systems, maintenance, payloads, data links, ground support equipment, categories, applications, mission planning and control and recovery.”

Career in hospitality
The hospitality and tourism management course, called HTM 701: Hospitality Careers and Ambassadorship, is a non-credit, no fee class “that will provide students with an overview of the career opportunities in the hospitality and tourism industry.” Classes will be held Monday evenings at Mama Mia’s restaurant in Morgan Hill.
