Elisa ”Alice” Ochoa died April 13, 2004, in San Jose after a
lengthy illness. She was 83 years old.
Elisa ”Alice” Ochoa died April 13, 2004, in San Jose after a lengthy illness. She was 83 years old.

Mrs. Ochoa devoted her life to raising and caring for her family. She has been a Gilroy resident for more than 40 years, but previously lived in Santa Cruz. She was a native of Little Italy, Texas.

Mrs. Ochoa is survived by her children, Michael Lupe Lopez of Santa Cruz, Isabel Sanchez and her husband Pedro of San Jose; grandchildren, Alicia Lopez and L. Lopez of Santa Cruz, Alice Phan and her husband Siphan of San Jose, and Jenny Sanchez, Pedro Sanchez Jr. and Cristina Sanchez all of San Jose; great-grandchildren, Ashley Rowe and Shelby Rowe of Santa Cruz, and Kimberly Elisa Phan of San Jose; two brothers and three sisters in the Jose and Emelia Ochoa family of Gilroy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A vigil services will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, April 19, 2004, at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.

Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at the funeral home then to St. Mary Catholic Parish to celebrate a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gilroy.
