Elsie A. Kovanda died at home in Hollister. She was born in the Oak Park, IL, and was living with her son and his wife. She moved to Hollister in 1993 from Berwyn, IL, to be with her son.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Ken and Elaine Kovanda of Hollister, her grandchildren, Michelle Derderian of Boise, ID, Brian Kovanda of Hillsboro, OR, Heather VanRooyen of Richmond, VA, and David Kovanda of Las Vegas, NV, and 6 great-grandchildren. She is prededed in death by her husband, William Kovanda, who died in 1972, and her sister, Rose Kratochvil, who died in 2003.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, Jan. 5, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Bishop Gary Cameron will officiate.
Cremation will be followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park, IL, at a later time.
