Erma Huff (Dial), passed away April 14, 2003, in San Jose. Mrs.
Huff was born in Spokane, Wash., on Oct. 28, 1906.
Erma Huff (Dial), passed away April 14, 2003, in San Jose. Mrs. Huff was born in Spokane, Wash., on Oct. 28, 1906.
She was the last surviving daughter (eldest) of her family of three sisters and four brothers.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edgar Dial, of Gilroy, and was later married to Robert Huff.
Erma’s mother was 16 years old when Erma was born. Erma was the eldest and worked hard helping her mother raise six other brothers and sisters. Erma completed eighth grade and worked along side her family in an apple-packing company near Spokane. In her early 20s, she moved to Southern California to pack oranges and strawberries. She eventually moved to the Bay Area.
Inurnment will be held on May 1 at 10 a.m. at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park, Gilroy.
