Located in the Hecker Pass Shopping Center at 433 First St., the alley behind the closed Red Vine Cafe has been littered with trash bags and garbage on several occasions. According to David Ginsborg, deputy to the County Assessor, Francesca Martinez and Teresa De La Sol are listed as owners of the strip mall.

“The people who live near there (the alley) and other people dump trash all the time and it’s hard to keep it clean,” De La Sol said.

Scott Barron, in charge of code enforcement for the City of Gilroy, said the city has dealt with illegal dumping at the Hecker Pass Shopping Center in the past.
