Gilroy's Monica Marrazzo takes a shot against Presentation Saturday during their CCS quarterfinal game at Lynbrook High School in San Jose.

Gilroy High’s girls field hockey program had two players sign with Division I schools when midfielder Monica Marrazzo signed with California and defender Alex Kachtajki signed with Pacific.

Also, Mustangs goalkeeper Mariesa Mazzone committed to Mount Holyoke College, an NCAA Division III program in South Hadley, Mass.

“It always makes you proud,” said Gilroy coach Adam Gemar, who added that each of the three players has a 3.8 GPA or higher. “We’re super proud of them.”
