man with a knife then fled Sunday evening, according to the Gilroy
Police Department.
Four Hispanic males between the ages of 20 and 25 assaulted a man with a knife at a Gilroy park then fled in a nearby vehicle Sunday evening, according to the Gilroy Police Department.

Officers responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at San Ysidro Park in the 400 block of Lewis Street just after 5 p.m., police said.

During an investigation, officers learned four men approached another man in the park and assaulted him. The four suspects fled to a nearby vehicle, described as a dark green Toyota Camry with tinted windows.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated for a stab wound. At this time, the GPD does not have an update on the victim’s condition.

This crime is believed to be gang-related.
