As teens become more and more engrossed with social media and Internet browsing – for school and play – the Morgan Hill Unified School District is hosting a free workshop for parents to learn more about Internet safety. Children and teens are encouraged to attend as well.
The workshop is part of a Family Safety Series this summer. Learn how to protect children and teens while on the Internet.
Santa Clara County Deputy District Attorney Ray Mendoza will give a presentation in English and Spanish.
The workshop is from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 25 at the Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Street. Light dinner and childcare will be provided by Morgan Hill Bible Church. The event is sponsored by the City of Morgan Hill, MHUSD, Discovery Counseling Center and Community Solutions.
Please RSVP at 408-778-5120.
The next meeting in the Family Safety Series is scheduled for Aug. 8 and 9 on family self-defense. Attendees will learn practical ways to prevent an attack and what to do if attacked. Each workshop has sessions for both youths and adults.
