Police are looking for unidentified suspects allegedly involved in a gang-related assault that occurred at 12:33 a.m. this morning at the Morgan Hill Bowl, located at 650 Tennant Station Way, according to a Morgan Hill Police Department press release.
According to witnesses at the scene, a fight ensued inside the bowling alley and ended near the east doors of the business, where a 24-year-old victim from Watsonville was struck by an unknown object, police say.
Officers who responded to the incident at the bowling alley determined that all involved parties had left the area in separate vehicles, according to an MHPD press release. Shortly after officers arrived at the bowling alley, MHPD communications received a 911 call reporting the victim, a Hispanic male whose name has not been released, sustained a puncture wound to the neck and was bleeding from the neck and head. The victim – later transported to a local trauma center – was located by police inside a friend’s vehicle on the 18000 block of Peet Avenue.
The possible suspects were reportedly seen leaving the parking lot in two different vehicles described by witnesses as a red sedan and black truck, according to police.
Anyone who may have witnessed the disturbance or who may have information regarding the assault at the bowling alley is encouraged to contact Detective Jason Broyer at (408)-779-2101 or the anonymous tip line at (408) 947-STOP.
