The Gavilan College men’s basketball team ran into a tough
Mendocino squad Saturday.
UKIAH – The Gavilan College men’s basketball team ran into a tough Mendocino squad Saturday – dropping an 87-67 decision on the road in Ukiah.

The Rams were led by freshmen Steven Silacci (team-high 15 points) and Maurice Davis (14 points). In addition, Gavilan received strong showings from Jody McAlpine (10 points), Justin Nicholson (seven points), Jimmy Herrera (six points), and Jimmy Cheatum (five points).

Up next, Gavilan – which holds a 1-2 non-conference record – will play host Nov. 20 to Reedley College at 6 p.m. before a Nov. 22 home game against Napa Valley at 5 p.m.
