After dropping the first set to Chabot Thursday, Gavilan tore through the next three straight to win 3-1 on the road. The Rams won 16-25, 25-17, 25-14, 26-24.
Samantha Nydam and Alexia Balistreri both racked up double-digit kills in the win. Nydam led the offense with 18 kills. Balistreri added 13 kills, two block assists and a solo block.Â
Erica Chapa brought it all together with 40 assists. She had added 15 digs and two aces. Madison Hartman served up three aces and knocked down seven kills.Â
Valerie Rodgers had 21 digs for the Rams.Â
Gavilan (12-9 overall, 6-1 in conference) will host Ohlone at 6:30 p.m. tonight.
