George Haldane Scovel, 84, died in Gilroy on Oct. 20, 2003.
He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Frances; loving father of Marie Scovel and Barbara Chapin; grandfather of Kim Brown, Sharon Marx-Greenwood, Annie Chapin and Tobey Borkman; great grandfather of Bailey and Brandy Brown; brother of Robert Scovel.
He was a longtime rancher, livestock man of the year, director of The California Rodeo, member of The San Benito County Saddle Horse Association, past president of The California Cattlemens Association and Elks member for 65 years.
