Gilroy – Sneak a peek at Gilroy High School’s new student center, check out where your son or plays the drums with the band or meet your daughter’s new math teacher.
The high school will stage its back-to-school night on Thursday at 7pm. Meet teachers and administrators, including GHS Principal James Maxwell and find out what will be expected of your child during the school year.
For the first time in years the GHS campus, which welcomed about 2,500 students to its campus last month, is wiped clean of major construction. Seniors have had to endure the slew of renovations since freshman year.
The first wave of construction began four years ago with the replacement of infrastructure. In addition, classrooms, the administration, library and aquatics buildings were all refurbished.
The new football field and track was completed last August and in the spring the new student center opened.
