What inspires you?
I am inspired by music. It is a completely different language that everyone speaks, regardless of where they are from. Being able to perform or even just listen to my own music is inspiring. I feel that music is an art accessible to everyone and gives much more than it takes.
What is your favorite subject in school, and why?
My favorite subject in school would have to be history. I love learning about the past and all of the effects people have had on how we live today. It is especially fascinating to try and put yourself in different time periods and understand how people lived day to day.
—A current issue (world news, politics, pop culture, local government – can be anything!) you are concerned about, fascinated with or interested in:
I am very interested and concerned with the issue of prejudice around the world. Whether it be based on race or religion or lifestyle, prejudices are what keep people and countries back. If we could find ways to teach tolerance without degrading individual cultures, and let people really get to know each other, the world would be a much happier and safer place to live in.
—If you could go anywhere, where would you go?
If I could go anywhere, I would go to Machu Picchu, Peru. I’ve wanted to go there since I was little and would love to see the beautiful ruins, culture and llamas.
—Name one big challenge in your life right now:
One big challenge in my life is being able to meet all of the college deadlines I have while still maintaining grades and extracurriculars.
—What is your dream job?
My dream job would be to work for National Geographic doing field research.
—What are your three favorite things?
I have so many favorite things. A few of them are rainy days, airports, and blank notebooks.
—Favorite book:
My favorite book is Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand.
—What do you want to do after high school?
After high school, I would like to attend a good college and start studying what I love right away. I plan on earning a doctorate degree down the road and hope to be able to become known as a researcher and teacher in the field of cultural anthropology. I also really want to own and live in a castle somewhere in Scotland or Ireland—sort of a princess, Indiana Jones kind of life.
—Something that makes you smile:
My dog, Scout
—Top three most played songs on your iTunes or iPod:

2. “Represent” by DJ Okawari
3. “Melody” by Blendcrafters
