Gilroy man dies in Mountain View motorcycle wreck

MOUNTAIN VIEW—A Gilroy man was killed in a motorcycle collision in Mountain View Thursday morning, police there reported.
The Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as Karl Holladay, 24.
Holladay died in hospital shortly after the 11:30 a.m. collision just south of the Highway 85 overpass, when he was riding his motorcycle southbound on Moffett Boulevard and was struck by a car, Mountain View Police Department Sgt. Saul Jaeger said.
The driver of the car was not injured and cooperated with investigators, Jaeger added. His name was not released.
Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to have been involved, police said. The collision and its cause remain under investigation.
